Maureen Yoder

Lesley University
Professor
Cambridge, Massachusetts
Dr. Maureen Brown Yoder is an Educational Technology Professor Emerita at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Yoder began her career when the field of educational technology was in its infancy, when the Apple 2 was state of the art, and a 300 baud modem was impressive. A former classroom teacher, she has had over three decades of experience designing and teaching educational technology courses. Dr. Yoder coined the term “Electronic Constructivism” and has written extensively on emerging technologies and how to thoughtfully and creatively integrate them into existing curricula. Dr. Yoder wrote the “Buyer’s Guide” column for Learning and Leading With Technology magazine, along with several feature articles. She is a blog contributor to ISTE’s EdTekHub. Her “Emerging Technologies” graduate class for in-service educators, and now her conference presentations, are constantly changing, focusing on innovative and promising technologies as well as strategies to promote creativity.
