Doing the Data Dance (Is this anything like disco dancing?)
Consider the following... How does your district leverage data to provide personalized learning experiences for all students? Does your SIS data support day-to-day school operations? In what ways are you preparing data to present to your extended educational community? Are you dancing around data?

Let's get your data out of the 1980s and bring it into 2021. From imports to exports, state compliance reporting, and visualizing your data with Google Data Studio, let’s talk about taking data bits and bytes and transforming it into a data success story for your district!

Data-Driven Instructional Planning - Work Smarter!
What's stopping you from using data to make instructional decisions in your classroom? Do you ever prepare and deliver the best lesson ever and then assess the students a week later to find out half of them didn’t remember the information? Learn how to reteach small groups of students based on formative assessment data and save yourself time and energy. In this presentation, the Teaching & Learning Team from North College Hill City School District in Cincinnati, OH will be sharing our journey of maintaining a positive culture while increasing focus on data-driven decision-making. Our focus on data has been adjusted to include consistent and frequent reflection that leads to changes in instruction, processes, & eventual outcomes. We hope you'll join us to discover how you can work smarter, not harder as a teacher and see amazing student achievement results.

Understanding the User Experience
When you connect devices with a wire, it's very easy for those devices to report that they are functioning properly...but what happens when your users are still having difficulty? Or when the "network is terrible", but reports come in hours or days after they happen? What about random problems that happen on the network...how do you diagnose those? In this session, you will learn about the Aruba User Experience Sensor, and how you can use this device to track down those hard to solve problems and how to design a proactive response to network issues.

Why They Should All be Trauma-Invested Spaces
Why should I care about trauma?
Great question!
You can't learn if you don't feel safe as we all learned from Abraham Maslow. Understanding how trauma could be affecting your students will allow you to make them feel safer, which in turn, will allow them to have far greater access to the education you are offering to them.
I will explain the impact of trauma on the brain, how it can manifest in your schools, why you should commit to crating trauma-informed spaces, and strategies and resources to help you become more trauma-invested.
The best part is that trauma-invested practices help every student!

School Libraries: Information Boutique or Department Store?
This school year, we learned that a district administrator instructed a librarian to acquire eBooks only, unaware that during the pandemic, students and parents reached out to librarians for curbside-delivered printed books. Our programmers worked with librarians to simplify self-service requests that even K-3 students embraced! Technology also delivered advance booking services facilitating classroom book delivery for teachers ordering topical resources for their students. In addition, the pandemic did drive more students and teachers to use the digital resources that library portals broadcast and that Chromebook proliferation made possible to access. We will explore how librarians can use technology to build and offer "boutique" information services within a "department" store setting, using diverse media formats to respond to diverse and inclusive learning contexts.

This seminar is both a look at the history of wireless networks and the possibilities. If you want to make an informed decision about network direction with respect to WiFi, this is a seminar must. Working knowledge of networking or an active curiosity is a requirement for this session.
